OK Sorry, I should have posted my dates which are leaving Chicago on 11/22/06 (thurs) and returning Sun 11/26/06.

I think the dates are still a little far away yet cuz I see fares for next month are under $200.00

Optimum time I've found is six weeks prior to date of travel. That's when I seem to find the best deal - aside from last minute ones.

www.sidestep.com is a great search site - they find you the cheapest deal for your flights and link you to it.

You should have been checking Southwest 4 months ago
If you also need a hotel, you can find a better deal by purchasing a package from Southwest vacations. They combine airfare on Southwest with all the major Las Vegas hotels. You can look for more details at www.swavacations.com

I don't know where you guys are looking but I just checked Southwest Airlines and got you here (Vegas) for $215.60, round trip. Remember when checking Southwest, try and leave on the days that the flights are the cheapest, which are Tues, Thurs & Sat. And don't forget to check out their vacation specials tab and the vacation packages tab. Let me know if you need anything else, since I do live here. Best of Luck!

No no no, when traveling by air.. the further in advance you book is always better. I would get cracking now. The closer you wait, the higher they get. Best of Luck and have fun! Vegas is awesome !
