I made like this heart-shaped potholder and i dropped on accident.. I made it at 10 o clock and it was hard.. How can I soften it back up to fix it?

No adding watter to soften the clay is not a good way to fix it. This may sound crazy but try making paper clay. First shred toilet paper. Then add to a pot boiling watter and stir. Once it cools mix with the clay to create clay slip (think of it as a paste). Trust me this works every time.

You could try wrapping it up in some wet paper towels, and putting it in a ziploc bag overnight.
