It's not that we hate Cuba, it's Castro we hate.

I'm sure the pain/fear/loathing stems from a certain Missile crisis & some folks do have long memories 2 suit.
I don't hate Cuba, but I'm a Brit.
I discovered recently that some returning Americans have been arrested 4 Holidaying in Cuba & found that alarming.
Just 4 visiting Cuba!
I have been surprised & yes a lil pleased 2 B honest. When I discovered that Aids/HIV sufferers in Cuba R under house arrest, so the Virus is contained.
Just 1 of many misunderstandings attributed 2 Castro, when I think his plan is a fabulous idea.
Others may not agree, huh?

Been to Cuba and found the people very warm, and friendly. But ok I know Americans hate communist. But the Cubans have great health system. But remember before Castro came into power it was in a bad state. Example gambling, etc. Mind you the cars in Cuba are like old Hollywood movies. It was great fun in Cuba. European here can tell you this that it a popular holiday destination for Europeans.

I live in little old England and Cuba is a long way away, however, some of my friends have been there on holiday and say it is a fantastic place. Castro I can"t comment on, but he has some balls to stand up to the US. ref the comment by Alex H earlier. He said he heard a rumour that people can be arrested in Cuba and locked up for 10 years with no rights. No, that's America, it"s called "Homeland Security"

I don't know anyone who hates Cuba. Maybe it's just an American thing 'cos of the missiles and stuff.
I'd quite like to go to Cuba actually, but then I don't have much interest in politics and to me Castro's just an old dude with a big beard and Che Guevara's a face on a t-shirt (although apparently after he died his head and hands were cut off and preserved in jars for some reason but when they were shipped somewhere they lost his head!!!)

Where have you been, Buddy???? We don't hate Cuba, it is Castro, just like the Cubans hate, and believe me, if they aren't family, they hate that evil thing. Look into the past, see how much every effort has been made to work with this butt. It just don't work. So, go to Cuba, and see if you can work with him or would you get tossed in a cell somewhere tortured until fed to the sharks.

Cuba, I don't hate it but I've never been but I wouldn't exactly like to live there. If you're a cuban citizen, it might be just a rumor, but I heard that you are arrested for 10 years and refused rights to leave the country if you ask to take a holiday or move abroad.

I thought this the other day - funny how certain governments impose sanctions on Cuba but have a navel base there that holds a number of suspected terrorists without any real charges or any trail....
