In very broad strokes, socialism is an economic system in which "the means of producing and distributing goods is owned collectively or by a centralized government that often plans and controls the economy." In modern societies, socialism often attempts to eradicate class divisions. While the word "socialism" is sometimes used interchangeably with "communism," the two aren't the same -- communism is a more extreme form of socialism.

Communism advocates the "collective ownership of property and the organization of labor for the common advantage of all members." While communism is first and foremost an economic system, it's also a political ideology that rejects religion. And just as communism is a form of socialism, Marxism, Maoism, and Leninism are branches of communism.

Like socialism and communism, fascism uses a central authority to maintain control, but "terror and censorship" are common. It results from economic failure in democratic political systems. Interestingly, while socialism and communism are both on the left end of the political spectrum, fascism contains elements of both "left and right ideology" and rises from economic collapse. The most famous fascist was Italian dictator Benito Mussolini. That ought to tell you it's not a good way to run a country.

Communism is an economic model, with all property collectively owned by the community.

Socialism is an economic model, with manufacturing facilities and production resources (farms, mines, factories, utilities, etc.) owned and managed by the govt.

Fascism is a right-wing authoritarian hierarchical government, opposed to democracy or liberalism.

Communism and socialism are economic models, opposed to capitalism (another economic model). Communism and socialism can exist under any form of government, including a direct democracy, a representative republic, or a dictatorship.

However, most recent forms of communism and socialism have been attempted under an authoritarian or totalitarian regime, as the best way to imposed the forced distribution of material resources.

Communism really has nothing to do with Liberals, though a few support communism, just as many on the right belong to the KKK or support nazism!

Most in the Democratic party are not Comunist as they don't like them!

Liberal:

Liberalism is an ideology, philosophy, and political tradition that holds liberty as the primary political value. Broadly speaking, liberalism seeks a society characterized by freedom of thought for individuals, limitations on power, especially of government and religion, the rule of law, the free exchange of ideas, a market economy that supports relatively free private enterprise, and a transparent system of government in which the rights of minorities are guaranteed. In modern society, liberals favour a liberal democracy with open and fair elections, where all citizens have equal rights by law and an equal opportunity to succeed

Conservative Republicans:

Conservatism is a philosophy defined by Edmund Burke as "a disposition to preserve, and an ability to improve". The term derives from conserve; from Latin conservare, to keep, guard, observe. Classical conservatism does not readily avail itself to the ideology of objectives. It is a philosophy primarily concerned with means over ends. To a conservative, the goal of change is less important than the insistence that change be effected with a respect for the rule of law and traditions of society.

Fascist are closely related to Republicans as you will see in the definition:

Fascism is a radical authoritarian political philosophy that combines elements of corporatism, totalitarianism, extreme nationalism, militarism, anti-communism and anti-liberalism.
