Anyone know a particular make or model of vent fan that is 12 volt and at least 100 CFM for airing out a damp crawl space.
Who makes such fans? cost? Does it work well for you? Any details much appreciated.
Thanx!

Using 12 volt cuz it's way cheaper to run. I can run a fan for a year for under $10. That's the reason for a 12 volt.
I could use a 110, 60 amp type too I suppose. I'd like to try a 12 volt to see how it might work and cuz it's cheaper. I'm a bit tight I guess!

Look in a Grainger catalog or go to www.grainger.com

They have all types of fans. Usually the 12 volt fans are for cabinet or computer cooling.

Using a 12 volt fan requires a transformer. So now you will be adding heat to the space you want to cool. A 120volt 20" box fan is the way to go, use a thermostat with a set point of 90 degrees. This will be far better than adding another piece of equipment that can fail, add heat etc, Also one factor you haven't considered is that the size of a 12 volt fan wont do the work.
