I'm trying to understand the goth style more. What is it about all the pearcings and black? Does it represent death or something dark and evil. Do goth people think negative or positive for the most part. Are they suicidal? Do they want attention? I'm not trying to be smart about this just want to understand them more.

I actually don't have any piercings. I like the way dark clothing looks and I'm most comfortable dressing goth. No, it isn't dark and evil. Well...dark, maybe. I'm negative, but I'd be negative no matter what I wear. I'm not suicidal, but I used to be...and I wore brighter clothing when I was. No, I don't want attention, I dress that way to avoid attention. If people think I'm some horrible satanist, they bug me less.

If you want an encompassing explanation, try www.goth.net. Hmm. Piercings are just body decorations. Some people get them to shock others, but many people have them because they genuinely like it. The same goes for black clothes and makeup. Most people wear it because they find it attractive. Most real goths - not teenaged Slipknot/Korn/Manson/MCR listening Hot Topic dwellers - are intelligent, stable, grounded, altogether generally nice, peaceful and decent people. Goths are very rarely suicidal, and very few have psychiatric problems - despite what people say or the media tells you.(The media is the worst of all possible places to learn about people.) And, no, 'Goth' collectively does not represent evil. Thank you for asking, tho. :)

You feel it. You just feel the darkness inside of you, you like goth music. Punk rock, alternative... I am a bit goth, but I'm open-minded, not sealed forever in black and goth music. I even wear pink. Pink is a goth colour anyway.
And goths are not suicidal. Goth music is religios!!! Reliogion is against suicide!!! (except for the terorists religion)
Most of them would say that they would kill themselves because they hate life, but that is just an expresion, trust me with that one.

The goth you're talking about is just a style. Nothing more. Some people are just drawn to it. It doesn't represent anything..

People are all equal in their severe retardation. Goths think the same as mainstream kids.
