your really good friends and one night alcohol flows and you end up naked with him, and the next time you see him says it will never happen again even though he wants to...and he doesnt want to ruin our friendship...he still comes round to see me , whats he playing at?

That means he just used you and is blaming the alcohol. He does not see you as a real romantic conquest, but the alcohol blurred his vision just enough to get what he needed, now "he doesn't want to ruin the friendship"
You are not marriage material by his standards because you failed the test. He was able to have his way now found a quick way so as not to attach himself to you because he has his standards set much higher.
Don't fall for that again. Try not to take advantage of guys under the influence again, once it wears off they regret it. Plus you might find yourself with doing time. LIFETIME if you get pregnant, he might not remember or claim not to remember ever being with you because they are under the influence of alcohol.
TRUTH be told some of those guys are not really worth it. give yourself the respect you deserve and you will find a decent guy who will appreciate you, not one who is just out to see how far he can get with you, how much you will allow is up to you.

It means that he likes you enough to stay friends but that there isn't enough chemistry for a relationship. Women tend to play the "what's wrong with me" game. Please don't! There have probably been many men that were interested in you that you rejected or didn't even notice. Chemistry is a very finicky thing; lack of it doesn't mean that you are not attractive, smart, interesting,etc. It just means that you two have a friendship. Don't waste your time on it, but do learn form it. Next time don't sleep with a friend. Be glad that you two can stay friends but in the future don't give it away. I hope that helps. BTW, he sounds like a nice guy, many men would work it a bit.

He enjoys being friends with you and hopes that one day the occasion might arrive that you can become more than just friends. However he is not prepared to lose your friendship and enjoys you as a person not just a "lovely" naked lady.

Seems like the two of you over stepped the friendship line... He really thinks of you as a friend,.. And wants to keep it there.... Don't take it to hard... Be lucky he still comes around and is not to ashamed to do that... Value the friendship and don't cry over it...

He really appreciates that he can get you in the sack whenever he breaks out the booze without the requirement of being in a relationship. You sound like the kind of gal most guys would appreciate.

He probably means what he says, but.... It usually means he doesnt want you to get any romantic ideas. Play hard to get, act like you feel exactly the same, that you dont want anything to happen and see how quickly he comes running!!

Well it could mean one of many things but the 2 most probabe would be that he is bieng sincere and totally means what he says, he repects u for who u are, ur opinons etc etc.......however more than likely it could mean he wants to get u in bed and shag ya senseless but aint got hte bollox to tell ya lol good luck :)

He wants to stay as friends for now, and as you where both under alcohol, got a bit personal to quickly.
As for what hes playing at, only you know him as a genuine friend or not.

It means that he cares about you, and don't wanna hurt you, or be hurt, Maybe he knowns that the relationship won't work for a reason, and he prefers to have you neer as a best friend.
