A dodge intrepid is a good buy for you. '95 to '97. A couple of things to look for first. hope your dad is automotive savvy on this. Look at the inner tierod ends to be sure the bushings are good. Have someone turn the steering wheel while looking at the steering rack...if it moves you need new bushings there...and trust me that's not an easy job...been there done that. Lastly...the rear subframe bushings should be looked at. these are an issue on this car. Other than that...very good cars.

a used car is the best for a beginning driver, most drivers total a car in the first year of driving. wouldnt want to total a new car. toyotas and hondas are great used cars. they last forever, usually you can find great deals on them and they have great gas mileage. and the person that said you are a brat needs to get a life. you never said mom and dad were buying it for you. seems to me that if she's asking, she's probbaly buying. why would she ask if mom and dad are footing the bill.

Who cares if your parents buy the car for you or not. It doesn't make you spoiled. Maybe they just want you to be as safe as possible. Buy a safe car that you feel comfortable in and like at the same time. I really wanted black suv, so we picked the safest one, and that was that. It doesn't matter who pays as long as your happy.
