aljack, this is a hypothetical question. It's like asking people what they want Santa to give them for Christmas or what they would name their kids if the get married to Brad Pitt.

namazanyc, FYI...I lived in Japan for 8 years, and I am not talking about a Christian God, just God in General. Like I said...this is a hypothetical question. Something to make people think. BTW, I am a Buddhist too, but I practice tolerance and respect for other people's religions and I don't assume or judge them based on their postings.

I'm Japanese. I'm supposed to be a Buddhist, but I don't go to temple except for funerals, just like other Japanese. I, however, "know" that God or whatever you call it does exist.

I don't need to see Him or hear His voice, but I'd ask Him to hold me in His arms and make me feel that He loves me. I'd also ask him to make me "remember" what my purpose in this life is. This is my lifelong dream!

I like your question!

Introduce me to the 5 Nyorai! I by pointing out that Nyorai is the Japanese term for Buddha or that in plural, demonstrate a certian flaw in your common Christian character.

You neither respect others nor have even the slightest humility about yourselves! Even if I were a Christian I would find your question quite vain.

Is that just you? No! Look at how many Christians walk around saying " Oh my god ". If that is not taking the lords name in vain then I have no clue what is!

Point is if your god was God you people sure do not serve him well !

God proves it everyday to me. He sends a wonderful breeze into my window and the flower, grass, trees, pets, . Just stand outside and look around, He is everywhere. I don't need any other proof, because God is all over the Earth. New born babies, abundance of water and I could go on and on.

Tricky question... if there really was a god then nobody would have any doubt as to its existence, because it would be impossible for anyone to not know of gods existence.

That anyone has any doubt that god really exists is absolute proof that god does not exist.

given:
a) god is omnimax
b) god wants to be known to exist by all of humanity
results:
c) that want is made manifest by gods omnipotent power.

It would take much to outweigh the many contradictions and scientific inaccuracies in the Bible. The Bible itself is a great way to disprove God's existence. One thing is never enough to prove or disprove anything. Life is not that simple. It never does any good to ask a nonexistent being to prove anything.

It's not possible differ a true omnipotent god from just-very-powerful-being.

Well... maybe "make 2+2=5 be true".

The same way I know that I exist, or the world outside of my brain exists, simple physical proof, that's all. Nothing grand or extravagant.

Bring us peace. That would take a very great miracle and it's what I pray for more than anything. Unfortunately, He doesn't intervene in our affairs.
