Wal-Mart has been very good to it's workers.....in China.

They are the supercenter of low wages, poor benefits, and imported products.

Is Wal-Mart better for America....or China?

ONCE THE NEW WORLD ORDER TAKES OVER, WALMART WILL INCREASE IT'S PRICES & THE WORKING POOR IN AMERICA WILL NOT EVEN BEABLE TO AFFORD TO SHOP THERE. THIS IS WHERE THE MIDDLE CLASS IS GONE COMPLETELY, IT IS GOING ON NOW. IT'S CALLED THE GLOBAL ECONOMY & THE WORKING POOR WILL MAKE THE RICH RICHER. WITH THE FOREIGN CURRENCY MANIPULATION GOING ON WITH CHINA, THIS IS GOOD FOR CHINA, & INDIA. NOT GOOD FOR AMERICA; BUT AMERICA CAN'T SEEM TO SEE WHAT IS GOING ON. TOYOTA IS A GOOD EXAMPLE, THE PARTS COME FROM OVERSEAS, ASSEMBLED BY AMERICANS THAT DON'T HAVE A CONTRACT, THEY CAN BE TOSSED IN A HEARTBEAT, WILL NEVER HAVE A PENSION, WILL PROBABLY HAVE TO WORK UNTIL THEY ARE 67 YEARS OLD, IF THEY LIVE THAT LONG; THE PROFITS ARE GOING OVERSEAS, PADDING THE POCKETS OF THE CEOS.
ALL THE GOOD WORKING CLASS JOBS ARE GOING OVERSEAS. AS PEOPLE KEEP BUYING THEIR STUFF. TOTALLY CLUELESS AMERICA. THAT IS THE WAY OUR GOVERNMENT WANTS IT. FOR EXAMPLE, IF YOU WANT TO START A JUICE COMPANY IN FLORIDA, & YOU NEED A JUICE MACHINE THAT YOUR NEIGHBOR MAKES UP THE STREET, ACCORDING TO THE GOVERNMENT CONTRACT THAT YOUR NEIGHBOR IS UNDER THAT MAKES THE JUICE MACHINE, HE IS FORBIDDEN TO SELL HIS MACHINE TO ANYONE IN THE UNITED STATES; SO, YOU HAVE TO BUY YOURS FROM INDIA, THE ONLY PLACE THAT MAKES THEM. THAT WAY, YOU PAY TOP DOLLAR, YOU PAY SHIPPING, THE PEOPLE IN INDIA MAKE THEIR BIG CUT [SOME POLITICIAN], & THE WORKERS THAT MAKE THE MACHINE OVER HERE DON'T MAKE ALL THAT MUCH THEY ARE PROBABLY UNDER CONTRACT, TOO. SO YOU HAVE TO HAVE MONEY TO MAKE THE MONEY TO BEGIN WITH. WHAT GETS ME, WHEN THEY COME HERE, TO START A BUSINESS, THEY GET A $200,000.00 INTEREST FREE LOAN TO UP START A BUSINESS, DON'T HAVE TO PAY IT BACK FOR 10 YEARS, THE BANK WON'T DO THAT FOR PEOPLE THAT WERE BORN HERE & ARE U.S. CITIZENS. RUMOR HAS IT THAT THERE WILL BE ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT IN THE FUTURE, THE NEW WORLD ORDER. SCARY.

If you check the parking lot of Walmart I think you will get your answer for the first part of your question.

Consumers are finding what they want at a better price than their compeittors. So as long as poeple shop there Wal mart will continue. And many people must be shoppoing there cuase of how many Walmart are continuing to be opeend across the US.

As for China, yes itis good for China, but if it wasn;t for Walmart it woudl be someone else. I never liked that answer- but it is for real. Walmart is not the only improter of Chinese goods. And people seem to like the products - cause they keep buyingthem.

What we all have to realize is that we are all in a global economy. This is true for you and me. We no longer compete against just the guy down the street, but the guy across the world. If you want US to compete - write your congressman/woman and have them put pressure on China to stop pegging their dollar to the US dollar.

Once CHina's dollar begins to fluctuate then their true cost will show up and the American goods will be a better buy. The Walmart, and other Warehouse stores will buy goods from other countires- including the US.

I think that they would like for people to think that they are good for America because they offer lower prices and entry-level jobs. What most people don't realize is that Wal-Mart cares very little for low-income people and their record shows that (so many discrimination lawsuits!). They also donate a LOT of money to the Republican party because their true allegiance is to big business and and it's ideal of squeezing out every dime of profit that they can... hence their affiliation with Chinese manufacturers.

It's such a horrible catch-22. People make low wages so they shop at Wal-Mart because of their low prices. But the people are getting low wages BECAUSE Wal-Mart is bad for the economy.

I hate Wal-Mart. China's economy is booming right now, because our capitalistic society keeps outsourcing all the jobs to there.

I know that for many people, Wal-Mart pays higher than other jobs, so I'd have to say it does help some people.

Wal-Mart is good for landfills.
Where else are we going to put all the crap we buy at Wal-Mart?
