I'm having a problem with child support. They are quoting a price that's outragous, and I know that I owe something way different, but they won't do a redetermination on my behalf. I need a lawyer that specializes in rights for the father. Is there a wbsite I can go to?

What State are you in? Each state has their own spin on the cs law.

In TN (where I practice), you can go online and pull the state's cs worksheet, plug in her income, your income, the days you spend with the child, the days she spends with the child (out of 365) and presto! The worksheet spits out the number you pay.

Whatever agency is handling the child support should also answer the questions you have. Remember that men work at these places, too, as do women married to dads with child support.

The most important thing is, pay something.
