I don't see what the big deal is. They will eventually end up living together once they merge the tribes.

From past seasons the contestants would form an instant bond with their own ethnic heritage anyway, so this is nothing new except that it has been well advertised. Eventually the ethic bond will breakdown, as it has in the past, and the tighter friendships will prevail or the "i am your friend until it is time to stab you in the back" will dominate again.

I think it's an awful idea, especially since the show is dying in popularity as it is. It will turn off the last viewers it has, as it seems a bit racist to do it the way that they are.
I'm pretty sure they don't mean, "Well, let's see who's better, white or otherwise?" It does come off as that, though.

The jury is still out...I'm not sure if it was a good idea. Over the next few weeks will tell. People will make a big deal out of it no matter what.
