I think there's something there, but we started off very friendly and kind of childish....joke about a lot, so how can i try and convey that im interested in him - its hard because i have created the expectation that im always a joker with him.
Our conversations have slightly changed recently, from never even daring to talk about the "disgusting" idea of us being together to now, talking about it and having a laugh with the idea of being together....this is hard to write down....
So what can i do to quit the joker act with him and be more of a serious, friend who is a potential love interest?
P.S. Im way too shy and have no guts to tell him face on that i like him...and i know he's generally a shy guy when it comes to girls he fancies so its hard to tell....

This is weird. I have asked the same Question and i got answers that i did not want. But i have to say that you should be more serious and not childish. But still hang around him. This is what i am trying to do. Hope it turns out ok.

drop some hints, also if your a natural joker then don't change yourself just so he'll like you cause then that means he isn't for you. also, whenever you "joke" about being together, you should suggest that it's a possiblity so hopefully he'll get the hint. he's probably "joking" about it since he wants to know what you think of you two being together. just remember that if you do confess your friendship probably won't be the same, even if you're together or you're not. my best advise would be to just drop hints and since your shy, it's probably the easiest way, although you may have to admit your feelings if it comes to it, GOOD LUCK!

try to use your female charms. Once had the same thing happen with a female colleague at work. we started just good friend but got along better and better as time went by. after a while she started to give some "hints" and even started talking dirty to me. Let's just say I got the picture and I'm sure the guy you are chasing will act the same

well start being more serious and talk about serious things not saying to stop jokin around just talk to him more and be around him more to give the idea. touch him on his leg or shoulders when your are lafing and then just make your self dateable k god luck babes
