Gordon Banks - GK - greatest positional goalie ever!
Viv Anderson - RB - brilliant attacking right-back and would cause havoc with his runs down the flank
Eddie Hapgood - LB - England's elegant left-back of the 1930s
Bobby Moore - CB - Central defence of course. Why a previous answer would have him in midfield I really don't know!
Terry Butcher - CB - Brave and no-nonsense, and would dovetail Bobby Moore's stylish defensive skills
Wilf Copping - MID - Every team needs a defensive hard-man and this guy from the 1930s was one of the hardest.

Paul Gascoigne - MID - His Italia '90 form
Len Shackleton - MID - Would be a dream to see this flamboyant guy playing with Gazza. What a treat!

Gary Lineker - ATT - Predator
Stan Mortensen - ATT - The last guy to score a hat-trick in an FA Cup final and a fine England centre-forward, scoring 23 goals in 25 games for his country.
Bobby Charlton - ATT - England's record scorer with 49 goals

Ahhh, so we are talking football, well GK got to be Gordon Banks, and no, I am not going to list the '66 team. Right back, Cohen, CBs Terry and Terry Butcher, Left Back Phsyco (got to have him in the team), right midfield Gerrard, Holding Midfield, Bobby Moore, Left Midfield Bryan Robson, Top of Diamond Paul Scholes, Strikers Gary Lineker and Tom Finney.

I reckon Mitchell B's team looks pretty good but not John Barnes - amazing for league but never cut the mustard for England. And I would try to squeeze Lineker in there somehow..

Why would you want David Beckham in your dream team - he is cack, as this years world cup proved. He has started to believe his own hype.

Simon Bates (goal) (our tune plays when he lets one in)
Giant haystacks/big daddy (defence)
Blair, as one of the mid filed (ok, were approaching our goal...but how are we going to achieve it....if i can just....)
the 3 blokes that did my central heating...they got in the way of everything...thats 7......4 left right? is there 2 strikers? that leaves two with notning specific...Terry Christian...(every teams got one you dont know why he's there) Elvis (for the girls...you didnt want beckam...but you Have to have one talentless fanny puller) and so two strikers......tom criuse in top gun role.....oh and god....if he cant bend a ball...built the universe in 7 days...sure he could orbit a ball around a goal in 90 mins........
