That is the way things are done now. The corporations just want to make money. Customer service is a thing of the past. It is only found in the small shops, and then you pay for it. So, we choose between service and price.

Where I live, they only have the self-check outs! Everytime I go up there I have to gripe out loud for doing a Home Depot employees job! I should be getting an employee discount for it! They never have anyone that can help you. The commercial says "you can do it; we can help" B@ll SH!T!~!!!! I finally found someone to help me special order a whirpool bath, and instead of helping me, she shoved a huge catalog in front of me and told me if I found what I wanted, she would order it. She couldn't answer any of the simple questions I was asking about it. She told me that I was probably mistaken and the bath I wanted was probably at Lowe's not Home Depot...but the American Standard website says it's a Home Depot EXCLUSIVE!!!! (by the way...she was the plumbing expert of the evening)
AAARRRGGGHHHH!
I HATE HOME DEPOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I went in to order some blinds and was told to come back in two days. No one that day knew how to order them. It is something like that everytime I go there.

I had a friend who worked at Home Depot before I knew her. She said it was the worst retail work experience of her life. The managers actually screamed at the staff, and infront of people too.
Probably the only people left are the ones with really thick skin, unfortunatly it is hard to motivate that type of person if they aren't already self motivated.

The other night my bf and i went to one looking for paint samples for our new apartment and everything was fine there people were nice and infomative even told us when they held the next class for painting tips. If you are really bothered by the way they treated you you can call the main branch and complain about that store and the managers and employees there will be looked at like they were under a micscope by there surperiors.

Lol. Have you seen what kind of workers are there now????
Our land is sort of changing. It's sort of like why I don't like Micky D's anymore. Their fries are always stale because they make more than enough and just let them sit for long periods of time. They hire a lot of hispanics I'm starting to hate living in California since we're right at the border.

I wish I could answer your question. Ususally whenever I go to one of these home improvement stores, I know exactly what I am looking for, and where it is located.
