well, personally, they made some changes to the "superstar" mode, I actually think it's fun this year... a little more focused on the actual individual player
and the improved running game is cool... you can do lead blocking now for a running play which is pretty neat... there are some other minor differences... those are the main two that I've noticed...

They added a feature to let you control blockers. Now as you run the ball you can switch to a blocker throw a huge block and then switch back to the running back. No more lousy computer blocking.

there are diffrences in the running game. it is the year of the running back. last year was the year of the qb. basically they make minor changes and make you buy the new one.
