changed to WWE. confused with world wildlife foundation i think

The World Wrestling Federation was brought to court by the World Wildlife FUND!. They wanted the official initials, and the judge agreed that the WWFund is about nature, and is more important, so they told Vincent Kennedy McMahon to change it.

The WWF was the same thing as present-day WWE, but WWF(World Wildlife Federation) sued them, claming that they had the WWF slogan, logo, etc. first. So, they changed WWF to WWE, and made a little changes on the look, and became WWE.

they lost a legal battle for the initials wwf to the world wildlife fund. so they changed to wwe world wrestling entertainment

have you been under a rock?? they was sued and had to change their name because World Wildlife Foundation had those initials way before Vince McMahon ..so he changed to Entertainment...also he did that so because if he called wrestling a sport he would off had to pay more taxes

it had to change its name because anthor organazation had that name first and that organazations name was world wildlife foudation. NOW the wrestling is called wwe
which means world wresting entertaiment.
