um, the USA is not going to send anyone to Mars anytime soon, if ever.
Two reasons: the estimated costs for the trip are in the range of $450 billion. I don't think that there are many people in the USA who are interested in spending that much anytime soon.
And, NASA's own doctors said that we currently have no way to protect the astronauts against solar radiation for a trip of that duration, so they would arrive dead.
So, until we make a LOT of progress in reducing costs and increasing safety, noone is going to Mars.

Not all Americans will say it's fake or obviously such a journey would be impossible for the Government to get approved.
When when astronauts landed on mars there was celebrations all over the world as well as congratuations to the American people. It was some time before fanitical misfits like michael moore came on the scene, and began attempting to tear down any American good or improvents, or advancement.
The flag waving esposode is easy to understand how anyone could mistake it for being on a california desert. The moon's gravity is only 1/4 ours, and if you jumped up in the air not only would you go several times futher off the moon's surface you also would be longer coming down. So long in coming down most media misfits with the michael moore misfit condition would see a governmental cover up in your return trip to the ground and swear you were in california with a big fan bloiwing up your behind.
On the moon when the when the astronauts planted the flag they had to jab it into the moon ground, (or drive it.)and this would cause (due to low gravity) the flag to flutter or wave as flags or any cloth will in near weightlessness. It would take several seconds to minutes for the flag to hang lifelessly as it does on the earth. The media misfits (most of whom were of this country and media bugs)jumed on this flag's fluttering or waving as a sign it was fake.
When Columbus first sailed to America the michael moore basket cases were there too, claiming he had fallen off of the edge of the world as the world was flat because the bible said so(now we know the bible did not say so. the preacher said so and as usual he was wrong; a he always is.
The same will be said of the first planned mission to mars. Ignore the nay-sayers, they noith not a thing but their own failures.
America is not a failure, and will lead the way into space because her people are free, and yarn for adventure, and represent every nation on earth in heritage, and race.

They might say the Mars landings are faked, true -
but I'm waiting for the first solar-power satellite construction crew to come back to Earth with their pay in their pockets.
Folks won't doubt space travel when there's jobs out there and truckloads of money to made doing them.

Good question. Why bother. Perhaps we could send the skeptics up, although they tend to be idiots and would probably blow the ship up.
PS I'm a flamming Democrat and even I know Micheal Moore is a fookin nut.

Who says the space program is all fake? That sounds like the plot to an old science fiction movie from the seventies.

All the flat earthers can stay on earth, while all the ones wanting to explore and colonize Mars, Jupitor's moons and other planets can look back and shake their heads.

Who cares what those people say. People believe all sorts of crazy things... its been that way since forever. The only reason they have a voice is because we have the internet all kinds of easy ways for these guys to speak their mind.

I think the number one reason NASA doctors photos...if ever, is to meet people's unrealistic expectations of what things should look like so they don't get called fakes.
