like marching bands???
i think it is great. i mean good bands with talent and good selections of songs are very nice to watch/listen to. i am a former trombone player and a decent high school band taught me a lot. it is very fun and it is not all just "band geeks". there are lots of other people that are just as normal....you know its like a regular school group and stuff. you got all different cliques and types of people (goth, emo, prep, surfer, stoner, dumb jock) its great and a lot of work

Do band! that is this form of blast! i'm a freshman and on the colour shelter (which completely makes the band, no offense). yet band is so great! You get to circulate throughout for competitions and win trophies! You meet maximum of recent friends for the time of the summer season and by way of band camp! you in addition to would possibly not at all omit a soccer game and pep rallys! and you get out of sophistication plenty! yet be arranged to loose all your Saturdays till December. in spite of the undeniable fact that that is all nicely worth it. it is not something like center college band. that is much greater severe and expert.

Although I doubt I'd buy any marching band CD's, I find them enjoyable at competitions and events, and think they are great for the kids performing in them.

A select few are good, but for the most part they suck. I used to be in one and we were terrible. Everyone was polite and said good job but when we played back the tapes all the members cringed.

if they're good and they're in it for the passion of what they're doing and not for money then i think they're great people! but if they don't even write their own lyrics adn theyre not doing to make people happy - like they have a crap sound and loser music- then yeah, they just plain sound bad. but some people get to obsessed wtih it and then they dont practice and that leads to their crap sound
