All the freakin time. I grew up in a mainly all white community. My father is Mexican, my mom is white. My white friends always made fun of me for being too Mexican. My Mexican friends made fun of me for being too white. It was hard for me to associate with any group, because each one always made me feel like an outsider. After years of flak, I learned to let things go and accept who I am. I found that it has allowed me to be more open minded about racism and learn to accept people for who they are, rather than what their ethnicity is.

one of my best friends is bi-racial. Her father is black and her mother is white, as are all of her siblings. She finds it difficult at times because she doesnt know where she fits...is she white? Is she black? she is the only girl in her family and the only one with a father who is black. In society, she is lucky in the sense that her father's genes were more prominant and she looks more black than she does white, so to the general public, she is black. But there are times when she feels like she's looked down upon for not being "pure blood" she has had experiences with others, both black and white, who wouldnt accept her as one of "them" sad really...cuz who are "they" aren't we all people? It's so stupid that in this day and age, that we still get judged based on our skin colour.

Oh yeah! When I'm around whites, they see me as Mexican and when I'm around Mexicans they seem to see me as a white girl.

oh yeah i do... i really don't feel like i fit in anywhere. my background is both filipina and indian, the tight knit cultures don't welcome outsiders easily, so it's difficult to assimilate myself into either culture. especially cause i look hispanic....
i love both sides of my rich backgrounds but i just feel like i'll never feel like i'm truly welcome.
