Liam Brady was outstanding, Charlie George is worth a mention, Alan Smith, Tony Adams, David Seaman, Ian Wright, Michael Thomas if only for THAT Goal, in more recent times, Viera, Bergkamp and obviously Henry. Theres been so many greats its hard to pick one.

The best player to grace the playing field at Highbury has got to be the one and only Ian Wright! Closely followed by Henry, of course!

Top 10 Arsenal players in my humble opinion are:
1. Thierry Henry (no contest - best individual talent that has ever graced these shores)
2. Robert Pires
3. Dennis Bergkamp
4. Paddy Vieira
5. Tony Adams
6. Liam Brady
7. Ian Wright
8. David Rocastle
9. Anders Limpar
10. Brian Marwood

Others worth a mention are Bould, Dixon, Winterburn, Keown, Seaman, Robson, Merson, Anderson, Sansom, Woodcock.

I haven't bothered with players that I have never seen ie Ted Drake, Bastin etc

This question should really only be answered by Gooners who've seen AFC play over the last 30 years or so, as you can't be evenly biased. I can't believe no-one has said David Rocastle, Paul Davis or Kenny Sansom for example. Of course Henry is currently with his phenomenal goal scoring record, but Wrighty who beat the record first, Tony Adams, Steve Bould! I couldn't pick one, we've had so many superstars it's impossible. Now if you said Tottenham, no problem, they haven't had one yet their still waiting!

i am an irish man u fan, so as tempting as it may be to say henry, i have to say liam brady, he was a real class act and was the best player to grace highbury, but the best player to grace the new stadium will be van persie, he will put henry to shame, mark my words, the lad is as good as rooney

Alex James was a wonderful inside-left, setting up many goals for the likes of Clifford Bastin and Ted Drake. He scored the first goal in the 1930 English challenge cup at Wembley against the famous, but ageing Huddersfield United team, but all through the 1930s he made Arsenal tick, winning four league championships and two cup wins.
