The originals from the 70's were great. The new ones were not as good. You think it would be the other way around.

Episodes IV, V, & VI... Great.. The combination of models and computer graphics were excellent especially in V Empire Strikes Back and VI Return of the Jedi at the Battle of Endor and the Death Star. Very convincing space craft and effects. Very good acting, and great story line.
Episodes I, II, & III... Not so great.. About all they did was "complete" the story that ended. Very rough, poor acting, too much other distractions and side stories... The effects and space craft looked too fake. Too many loose ends as well. The Clone Wars were supposed to be a big Galactic struggle and war that left the Galaxy as it is where IV picked up and built characters like Solo and Calrizeon...nothing what so ever about them.... All we got was a cheesy, soapy, love story...and a piss-assed teenager.
As far as I'm concerned there should be a Episode 3 1/2.... And I'd love to see a IIV, VIII, and IX...but done in the spirit of the original three...with model, real effect that are computer enhanced, and real actors...
The most recent three I, II, and III left a sour taste in my mouth...on any other wise good continuing story... Its not about being a nerd...its about an escape from reality as we know it on earth...entertainment...and a interesting twist on the never ending good vs. evil battle...

Love them. I hate the whole science fiction thing but Star Wars is just classic and brilliant. Plus the Ewoks (episode 6, I think) are so adorable...lol...

The original 3 were and still are the best, the phantom menace was dissapointing but the other two were very watchable, and the revenge of the sith tied up the story very well

IT WAS OKAY IF YOU ARE A STAR WARS FREAK. BUT I HOPE YOU CAN STAY AWAKE FOR THE WHOLE TRILOGY. LOL! BUT OVERALL IT IS OKAY.
