My goal is to always work less on Friday, by than my brain needs the rest, but my clients don't always cooperate with that theory

It depends. This Friday I put in 9 hours because I only had "one more little thing to do" to get all the nonsense off my desk. On the bright side...Monday, I can start new.
Typically, I do an 8 on Friday, and it's pretty mellow.

Fridays are my days off so I don't have to do anything.
