The Letts guides are pretty trustworthy - go to WHSmiths/ Ottakers or Waterstones... the bbc revision site very good too --- go to www.bbc.co.uk/schools/revision
Good luck and don't panic so much so soon - am a teacher and have seen people burn out... so keep it steady!

There are tonnes of different revision books in publication. I just finished my GCSEs (did very well) and i was using CGP revision guides which i bought at W H Smith. i thought those were pretty good, though the only other type of revision guide i bought were Letts revision guides for specific english texts which i was studying.
As for prices, my school was selling the CGP science revision books for about half price. if you can buy online it would probably be cheeper than at a store. right now WHSmiths is having a big sale on school stuff, so the revision guides might be on sale there otherwise they'll cost the same at most book stores or WHSmith. just go to what ever store is easiest to get to.

Have you looked in your local library? Depending on where you live you could have more than one library. You might find it helpful to go along and look through what they have before getting some revision books out and seeing which ones you get on with best before deciding which to buy. When you've found which books you work best with, second hand books can then be bought from places like ebay or amazon.
You should also find interactive revision and learning material at the library, possibly you would find working with CDs better than or a good supliment to working with books.

Hey,
Ive just started year 10 and have to start coursework and also have GCSE at the end of this school year. I personally find the CGP-Richard Parsons books that do cover most subjects very use full they have a lot of information that you need for the GCSE's and contain useful tips and questions to test yourself back on. You can get these at http://www.play.com - from £4.49!
I really hope this helps....and good luck for your gcse's xxx

We always used to get Letts or Collins, they both had quite good reputations. Go to WHSmiths or Waterstones to have a look at them but it may actually be a lot cheaper to buy from Amazon or somewhere online.
