Will there be more than 400 of those to do? If so maybe you need to find yourself another job.
If you've been with the company a long time you can ask for help; tell them that just knowing you have 400 more to do has affected you and you need assistance.
You motivation would come from your thinking about why you are working, i.e. to pay for a home, to marry or pay for your wife and kids, to pay for education, to get experience, to get benefits such as a retirement plan, to make money to pay for your car....acknowledge this and then pace yourelf with working on those accounts. Maybe the next project you get won't be so tedious and numbing.

Make it into a little game of willpower...
Say to yourself "I will buy myself (x) when I enter 25 contact". Then, when you get to to 25, say to yourself, "I can do 15 more..," and just keep going on like that until you get to the end! And make sure that you reward yourself when you complete the task!
I do that when I am driving and it looks like I am going to run out of gas... (Oh, I can go another 10 miles). Surprisingly, I haven't run out of gas, yet!!
Hope that helps!

Start a business doing something that you love. Love to paint? Start a decorative painting business. Love to work with numbers? Start your own financial firm. Love to write? Write a book. Get the picture.

Listen to music. Talk on the phone. Take breaks. Eat candy. Do whatever you have to do. You'll get through it.
