I'm not a female, but from a mans piont of view, if it happend to me, I would want to know. And The longer she kept it from me, the madder I'd get. I'd want to know so I could leave her in the dirt. Why? Because I would never cheat on my woman, and I told her up front that's the only thing I'd leave her for. Otherwise, we'll be happy together from now on. Fess up and face the consequences. He may decide to forgive you, and if he does, he shouldn't bring it up after you talk about it once. And you should never let it happen again. If you don't come clean, it will come out eventually by someone else, guaranteed. You can't hide that kind of stuff forever.

I wouldn't just so that I could live with myself - that is selfish. It depends on the circumstances - was it a one night stand or a long term affair? A long term affair would indicate that there is something significantly wrong at home that should be addressed. A one night stand could just be a slip, we are human after all. Telling him would hurt him and may not solve anything. Think about why you cheated and address those issues first and foremost.

First of all I wouldn't have been cheating....I couldn't live with myself even if I didn't get caught. Second, if it's over and you haven't been caught and are planning to stay with your husband, then why tell. You're just asking for a messy situation and possible divorce.

That's my advice to you....now if your husband was asking....I would say something totally different.

Just my thoughts....

I have cheated and no I never told him but I also broke up with him because I did not feel I was being honest. I did not feel I could tell him but I felt obligated to do something.

I think it really all depends on how it will turn out it the end if you really love your boyfriend an dont want to lose him then why even tell him your just only going to hurt him and soon enough that guy you once loved will leave you but if you dont think your relationship is going anywhere and you really dont care if he leaves you then go ahead and tell him it really all depends on what you want to get out of it !

Well if you have a conscience, you will tell him. but why cheat in the first place? There must be something lacking in your relationship!

I would leave my husband before I cheated on him, so there would be nothing to tell.

The guy has the right to know the females faulty actions toward a relationship, and otherwise....

No I wouldn't. Men aren't like women. They can't handle the things we as women handle. He will probably never forgive you, but I am sure if the shoe was on the other foot, he'd expect you to forgive him! Men aren't mentally capable of handling news like that.
