MySpace isn't really a kids only domain. I know of several people well past "kid" age and into "parent age" who have MySpace sites.
A man I know (artist) and his fourteen year old son have MySpace sites.
I know of several filmmakers, musicians, and artists who use MySpace as a no-cost vehicle for communicating with their fans.
I think as time goes on as the MySpace audience matures it's uses will also grow. And older adults will also find it useful.
When computers first became affordable for the ordinary American, only kids and nerds used computers. Kids have always been the "early adopters" of technology, and then the parent types see how useful the technology can be and begin using it themselves.
And once PARENTS or Parent Types (adults of parent age) begin using something, it suddenly becomes so uncool and the kids find something new, especially if it befuddles the parent generation like the internet in general has for several years, but not so much now.
Although I am not a "mom", I have a MySpace site so I can keep up with the young artists I've come to know.
My mother is in her eighties, although she doesn't know what MySpace is, she does however surf the internet, and use a computer to write a book.

Yeah, there's a bunch of "your mom" usernames on myspace. Do a search. It's funny. My mom is a myspace hoar...haha

as far as i know, my older brother is the only one of my immediate family who has a myspace account.
i personally could give a damn about myspace!
