Make sure that the bolts you are using are the correct size and thread pitch.
DO NOT remove the steering wheel retaining nut completely. Back it off until it is flush with the end of the shaft. Otherwise, your puller may damage the threads to the point that you won't get the nut on again.
Back the jack screw out of the puller frame enough to EASILY thread the puller bolts into the wheel. Make sure that the bolts are the same length, and that they are both screwed in as far as possible. If one won't go in as far as the other, back one out so that they are the same distance from the base of the wheel.
Turn the jack screw in until it contacts the nut and shaft. Check the length of both bolts. If needed, turn one or the other to balance them so that the frame is straight. If the puller wants to twist to one side, your puller is either defective or of poor quality.
Put a significant amount of force on the jack screw and then strike the end of the screw SMARTLY with a hammer. (Remember, leave the retaining nut on the end of the shaft.) Then add some force to the screw and strike it again. By now the wheel should have come loose.
When you replace the wheel, do not use excess force retaining the nut. It only has to be tight, not "gorilla tight".
BTW----> Be sure to replace the wheel in its original position or it won't be straight across as you drive, and your turn signals won't cancel correctly.

Good Luck

ok after you have taken all the nuts off and there is nothing holding and the puller is not lining up you take a rubber mallet and in the center of the stering wheel you hit it hard as you can it is spring loaded and should come off after a couple of good hits.

I would suggest using a manual for step-by-step instructions.

Available at your local Library for Check-out or Reference;

or purchase at your local auto parts store.

sometimes if you have enough lead in your **** you can give it a real hard yank and it'll come off. watch that you don't hit yourself in the mouth tho.
