One cubic foot is what you get when you multiply a one foot wide by one foot long by one foot high. Imagine a perfectly square ice cube 1x1x1.

Convert your measurements to feet by dividing inches by 12.
Multiply LxWxH of squared off shapes. If a cabinet has a triangle shape, take one-half of how deep it is times how wide, then multiply by the height.

This is very basic geometry. Don't make a big thing about it. Lots of people are not mathematically inclined, but the ones who are may think you are not too bright if you let it slip you are having trouble with this. On the other hand, a person who is in the same boat as you mathematically, will probably comiserate with you about how they had math.

How long have you been selling new homes for? There's cubic feet (volume) or square feet (area), but no "cubic square feet". Well, unless you have a club foot maybe.
