I'm moving to Texas in less than 12 months...College Station, to be exact. Please give me some information on Texas: What it's like, the people, weather (in summer), what College Station has to offer, and what other info you may have to offer about Texas.

I'm moving there from Kentucky. If it's possible, please compare it to here; if you can't, that's okay. Thanks!

I don't remember where College Station is but I think it's around Dallas somewhere, right? Anyway Dallas is really hot in the summer (like an oven) but not as humid as Houston and points south so it's bearable once you get used to it. I really did like Dallas after a while but I was in culture shock since I moved there from NY. You probably won't notice such a big cultural difference from Kentucky although I have to admit to not knowing much about Kentucky.

It does get warm (105 average in the summer) but the winters are mild. Moderate humidity, the people are friendly. I live here, and I love it!!
