Mitt Romney is the dream candidate for a card carrying Republican like myself. He's fiscally conservative, having a a proven track record of turning in-the-whole companies around; ie Bain Financial, the consulting arm of that company, and the SLC Olympics. As governor, he inherited a budget deficit, but MA is now running a surplus. He's socially conservative, and is genuinly an honest, upright man. He even looks like a President. As for his Mormonism, who cares? Massachusetts isn't reading the Book of Mormon just because he's governor. Harry Reid, Senate Minority leader, is a Mormon, as is Orrin Hatch, Bob Bennett, about a dozen Representatives, and at least three governors. Unless Condi Rice or Jeb Bush runs, he has my vote.

Who's going to win, or who's the better choice? Neither may end up being the nominee in '08 the way things are going. And if you're stuck making a choice between Mitt Romney and Hillary Clinton, you need to spend some time studying the issues. These two couldn't be further apart, and the choice (no matter who you go with) should be a slam dunk.
You can get a flavor for their views from the "On the Issues" website (links below).

I'd vote for my dog before I voted for Hillary. I don't see where she did a good job the first time around, so why let her try again?

You know, their both good choices. They both have definite strenghts and weaknesses. Their not as far apart as you may think. I'm going to have to go with Mitt for right now. Wouldn't surprise me if these two were the Presidential candidate for their respective party.
