I am almost 2 months late with my period (which is expected on September 21st) and have take quite a few HPTs and still come up with negative results.
I plan to take another one on the day of my expected period and if that comes up negative, get a Dr's appt.
My question is this:
has ANYONE ever gone without your period for more than a couple of months and gotten negative HPTs (about 4!) and still ended up actually being pregnant after getting multiple negatives?
This is making me nuts!

Quick question- when they say that your breasts are sore, do they mean the whole breast or just the nipples?

Actually, yes. This happened to me. I missed my period inMay and took 2 tests (both negative) Then, I missed my period in June and took 1 test and it said negative. I was going through a VERY stressful time in my life so I decided to forget about it and that it was probably just stress. Then, I got sick one morning in early July and was talked into taking a test that I was convinced would be negative and it was positive. The doctors estimated my due date based on the babies measurements. Good luck!

There are many signs of pregnancy, ranging from those that make you wonder if you might just be pregnant to those that even your caregiver will consider proof positive. Here's a look and the signs and symptoms you may experience, and how likely each one is to be correct.

Presumptive signs
"Presumptive signs" are the symptoms and sensations that, while possibly indicating pregnancy, could also each be caused by any number of other reasons. These are also some of the earliest pregnancy symptoms.

Absent menstrual periods (amennorhea)
Nausea and/or vomiting ("morning sickness")
Unexplained fatigue
The frequent need to urinate
Breast tenderness and changes
Excessive salivation (ptyalism)
Skin changes
A sensation of movement in abdomen (quickening)
but u dont have to worry since you r getting negative results there may be many reasons other than that some hormonal imbalances or some changes the best thing for you to do is visit a gynac.
hope tis ll help
take good care

I think all women go through this. . . I have never had a negative HPT and have been pregnant after two months. I have two children and the two HPT's came up positive when I was ACTUALLY pregnant. I have had irregular cycles. . . Stress, diet, exercise can all have an effect on the menstrual cycle (of course, there are other factors)

I was 20 days late for my period and first response still kept giving me negatives. I took an EPT digital and it finally came back positive. I was sure after being 20 days late that I was pregnant and couldn't figure out why the test was negative. And yep i'm 16 weeks pregnant now. :)

YES, with both of my children.....sometimes only a small amount of HCG shows up and you just need a blood test.If you are two months late, i suggest going to planned parenthood, or your dr for a blood test, it comes back in 1-2 days and lets you know how far along you are. at planned parenthood its 49 dollars flat fee.

Are you overly skinny, with low bodyfat? That can throw off your period.
