Traction (ie tires) will be the biggest variable but there are tons of variables to consider. I have heard of completely stock camaros only getting into the low 14s until the driver gets some experience with getting traction and then they can usually get into the mid 13's. All told I think you should be able to get into the 11's with that much power.

A full body Chevelle SS has a curb weight of about 3700 lbs. 500 horse with good traction should be able to turn mid to low 11s at least. Hope you have a roll bar, NHRA requires one 11.49 and quicker.

varied things contribute to how fast '' ANY'' car goes the least of which is driver skill, and set up pf the car.an expert might estimate your car to go as well as low 10's ,at like 130 mph range but my thought is to find a reliable expert driver and hit the drag strip ad find out .after afew passes ,and some math ,you should have some good averaged numbers.

HI,FIREFIGHT, I BELIEVE WAS AT A MARIJUANA FIRE WITHOUT A SCOTT PAK.266MPH? I LOOKED AT HIS 360 I SAW NO 1242 HP CAR. FOR YOUR 3700LB CHEVELLE TO GO 200 MPH YOU'D NEED OVER 2000 HP.FOR HIS CAMARO TO GO 266 EVEN IF IT IS AT NHRA PRO STOCK WEIGHT (2350LBS) HE WOULD NEED OVER 2500 HP.AND THE TIRES AND DRIVETRAIN TO DO IT.JAY PAYNE HOLDS THE NHRA RECORDS FOR TA/FC-5.51+262 MPH /2200 LBS.THAT TOOK OVER 2500 HP.IF YOU'RE GOING TO B.S AT LEAST COME CLOSE.ELECTRON HAS THE BEST ANSWER .FOR YOUR CHEVELLE 11.30S +116-120MPH WOULD BE POSSIBLE .SHEESH!266MPH!.-FIREFIGHT WHO SIGNED YOUR COMPETITION LICENSE ? IT HAD TO BE THE LORD BECAUSE YOU'D NEED A MIRACLE FOR THAT TWO SIX SIX .JM
