i took a ept test it was neg but the next day it was postive i know it says dont read it after 10 min has this happend to anyone and what was the outcome i don't think am pregannt thou!

I had my period this Mo but i fell diff so i took a test

Hi... I actually work in a laboratory and perform pregnancy tests. You have to follow the instructions correctly in order to get accurate results. If I understand you correctly, you looked at the same test sample, it was not a new one that you did the next day. If that is the case, you may have what is called a false reading. My suggestion- Do the test over again with a brand new kit, following the instructions exactly. If you don't feel comfortable doing it again, go to the doctor and have them perform it.

Take another test if you are not sure. And yes you should not go by the results it has the next day they are not accurate. They are accurate 10 min. after you take the test

if it says don't read it after 10 minutes then it is just negative. If you are so freaked take another test in a couple of days.

They all read positive if you wait more than 10 minutes. Try again and follow the directions exactly.

was the positive time when you took it earlier in the day? you have different levels of estrogen then so its easier to tell if you are preggo in the am rather than the pm,,,
