You're darn tooting. And not because of the immediate pinch we are feeling. The drain of wealth from our jobs heading out of the country is going to bite us in the behind very soon.
Already we can see the effects. In other parts of the globe the economies and wages are booming. In America only business is booming. American workers' salaries are not keeping pace with the economic expansion. This is because the bottom line of big business is improving due to lower overseas wages, while our job market is shrinking. The number of under-employed people in America is growing at an alarming rate. Our politicians are so busy with the circus in the Middle East they are ignoring this problem.

Disaster? Wake up buddy! Go to Yahoo finance and check out a five year chart of the Dow Industrial average. After a recession in the begining of 2000 the economy made a remarkable comeback. The housing market is slowing down but as a whole the U.S economy is fairly healthy.

The Real-estate bubble has to burst. I think all experts agree upon this and know that the results will be disasterous.

We are also the largest debtor nation in the world and China buys about a billion dollars worth of our debt a day.

So yes, our economy is heading for disaster.

Yes, I do. The cost of living keeps rising, and wages do not. There will be more and more of society headed for some type(s) of public aid. Look at fuel prices in the last 3 years, and grocery prices. How is the common man/woman supposed to survive with meanial jobs, and higher taxes, not to mention the rest of the things that just keep getting more and more expensive?

Salaries have increased by 3%, the cost of living by 5%.
That should say alot for the people who don't make a
living by taxing the life out of the middle class.

Pa. politicians tried to sneak themselves a raise a couple of
days ago. And, unfortunately, they got away with it, at 2 a.m.
Wouldn't it be nice if we all had that power?

Our economy is doing good. The real estate prices will correct themselves just like they did in the early 90's. There are challenges but we'll be fine. We need to learn how to compete in the global economy if we are going anywhere. The old union life on the job days are long gone.

Heading! It is a disaster, just like everything Bush has touched.

1/3 of Ford is getting laid off, but Bush gives tax cuts to the rich!

If you don't think our economy isn't already a disaster you aren't fooling anyone but yourself.
