The computer cannot restore to that point, or Cannot restore the computer at this time. I am running Windows XP and the Restore Point option is active. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Usually if you can't restore your system to a certain point in time, it's because you don't have enough physical memory on your PC, or at least not enough to restore the PC to the point you want.

Check your hard drive space, and see if there is more or less space there than what is required for the restore.

If there is less HD space than what you need for the restore, either allot more space for the restore, choose a restore point requiring less memory (not as long ago), or clear up space on your HD with the system defrag tool in Windows XP.

The Systen Restore Service may not be running. Right click on My Computer, click on Manage, expand Services, scroll down near the bottom and see if the System Restore Service is "Started". If it isn't-strt it and make it "Automatic". You may have to reboot - never hurts.
