There are 2 ways you can automatically block unwanted calls. Either your mobile has that function built in or you can request your mobile provider to do so for you.
Mobile in hand, the caller's number will be captured on your screen and you can always manually cancel the call.

I asked verizon this once, they said that the only way I could block calls would be to set up my phone to only be able to dial out. It might vary between types of phones though, i'm not certain. I usually just ignore calls from numbers I don't know.

yes there is, but i guess it depends on each phone model and manufacterer (mine has)
