The wacko that did the shooting a few days ago in Montreal had a goth site keep a blog of his thoughts. He was a depressed soul who hated the world and took his revenge upon in by mowing a few innocent lives. The kids that shot up Columbine were apart of the goth subculture.
Ahhh, the pop subculture that is the goth folks. These people grow up in the burbs and rebell by painting their fingernails black, listen to heavy electronic/metal music (like, for example, bubble gum wrapped corperate artists like Marilyn Manson or Skinny Puppy), thinking scary death ridden thoughts ending in hours spent mouning about how life is not fair and the world sucks and we are all going to hell. Wow- it must be tough growing up white, in the burbs, and having money. Must be tough. And to any goths out there- I know you have it tough and the world sucks. Its shitty, I can't deny that... Maybe enlist into the military, get sent over to Afganistan, see your friends head get blown off, then complain.

No, a military career wouldn't solve the problem- but it would give them a valid reason to ***** and moan.

Hey your right (who ever the hell wrote the 2nd answer)- those people in London where not goth. You are so smart and so good at following current events. Those people couldn't believe in goth values cause they blew themselves up thinking that god (they know him as Allah) would be greatful and bless them. Goths don't believe in God (right? even though they believe in the modern form of the devil- satan- which, by the way, is a ideal made by by Christians- u may have heard of it before- a sin...)

Geez Carlin c- I grew up as a white boy in the burbs n Central Canada (Ottawa)- my parents kicked me out when I was 17- I was picked on @ school... Wow, let me get a tissue for you goths...

well, just because some crazy guy went to Dawson's college and kill people it doesn't mean that ALL goths are killers. I live in montréal and i saw 2 goth girls in the metro this morning. some people went to talk to them and said that they are killers! i mean come on, does all Muslims are terrorists? i think not. so yes, its sad, horrible what happen on Wednesday but still we should not generalize. goth culture is filled with people who don't identify and feel like they don't belong in this kind of world. some are there just for the 'attitude', but there is a much higher felling of depression, passion for firearms and death in general too. but even if you like these things, doesn't mean you're gonna get out there and shoot some people. they are not all white people to join the goth culture, in fact the montréal killer (Kimveer Gill) was of Indian (from India) origins. Why did he choose this school? Dawson's college is on of the few english colleges/cégeps in québec. lots of students there are from very varied ethnicities. so its not about racism.
i enjoy dissecting bodies when i get call to assist the pathologist at an autopsy, but it doesn't affect my life. i m nice and sweet, i have the advantage of working with the deads and the living.
so just DON'T GENERALIZE. and besides, why would goths want to enroll? they don't want to have people telling them what to do, and they don't feel like belonging to any country or this world so...

Not all goths are violent, I was one, before I met my husband, and I was far from violent. And another thing, and it really bothers me that you said this, being white, isn't all that great. I live in Canada, and in my highschool, only about 10% of the school is white, and if you are white, its not a good thing. Having money doesn't solve anything either, not if your parents abuse you or ignore you. And living in the burbs can be a bad thing too, everyone expects so much of you, and when you can't live up to it, whether its fair or not, you're looked down apon for it. You don't know their story, so don't start saying that goths have no reason to "rebel by painting thier fingernails black, listen to heavy electronic/metal music, thinking scary death riddenn thoughts ending in hours spent mourning about how life is not fair and the world sucks and we are all going to hell." cause they could be abused, beaten, looked down apon, starved, unloved, uncared for, lonely, and you don't know about it, so don't say anything. If you know their story, then YOU can complain about it.

All people need to do to go to third world countries and watch what goes on- after you see some parent pimping out their own kid for $, your perspective on your relatively excellent life situation would change. I agree. Too many complainers out there.

Emo stands for something, they are generally overly emotional, psychological, and unusual., reducing themselves, and generally on meds.I see some solutions attempting to look after that stupid habit, like it extremely is something to be pleased with.
