The star for the location is on the wrong side of the road.

How does one go about trying to get this fixed by the service, MapQuest or whomever?

Also, the road is mis-named (it still carries the county name, instead of the city name)

They should have a link somewhere on the homepage of the site where you can contact them and report an error. I have done that on mapquest and yahoo directions. When one site has it wrong, most likely the others will, too. I've recieved incorrect directions to clients homes before from both sites. One sent me three miles in the opposite direction and just stopped there!! It's annoying. They should have someone who goes out and checks their directions to be sure they are accurate:(
But both yahoo and mapquest had a link for reporting direction errors that asked for starting and ending point and what was incorrect...also what should be there instead. Good Luck! :)

The wrong side of the road wont matter unless there is a median. also, if the road was renamed VERY RECENTLY then no wonder! It would take them a while to find out, Anyway, scroll to the bottom of one of their pages and click CONTACT US. Then email or call them.

look for a contact us link on the main page. Or look for a Site Map link and look for contact us there. You want customer support, even though it's a bug in the database/

Email customer support. Sometimes the system doesn't update when new streets are added.
