When I was almost 16, I had a girlfriend who was the same age and we were sexually active. She had a child from a previous boyfriend who was serving a prison sentence for having sex with her because he was an adult. I can do the same thing he did with no consequence whatsoever, while he sits in prison unable to take care of his child, because he was a few years older. Was justice served?

No, Statutory rape is like the voting age or drinking age. It is insanity run amok. with the exception of a very few countries, girls in the age range from 14-16 are looking for lifemates. It has been that way until the last hundred years. Ironically enough, when women garnered the right to vote. I have determined that they had the rules changed to help spinsters aquire a husband before all the hotties got him.

How many years is a "few?" I think justice was not served for the most important person in this situation--the young child. The thing is that we need to protect young children from being sexually molested by older people, and that is why statutory rape is against the law.

That is a really sad story. There is such a double standard in this situation. That man cannot care for his child, but that teacher who was all over the internet in her "sexy videos" for her 14-year-old student was given house arrest and probation because she's "too pretty" to be in jail.

Statutory rape is a complex issue, it is hard to say if justice was served. I would think that if he is in prison, there might be more to the story that you do not know.

What really sux, is that in Iran, I was reading that the age of consent is only 9!. The recently hanged a 16 year old girl for "Crimes against Chasity", she was raped!

No they are outrageous! He should not be sitting in jail right now. That just goes to show how much out Justice system sucks and needs to be changed!
I have a friend who is sitting in prison simply cause he was overage and his girlfriend wasn't but his charge is unlawful sexual conduct with a minor and he got 16 years.

no it was not , the theory behind statutory rape is that she was not responsible enough to have sex which turned out to be true , but now she has no help to raise the child , if she wasn't responsible enough to have sex how the hell is she responsible enough to raise a child , they should make some kind of 4 year gap rule , it is crazy how a senior in high school can go to jail for having sex with a freshman

He's an adult. She was a child. That makes him a criminal.

Is your behavior criminal? I don't know, but somewhere there should have been a daddy whoopin' some ***. I'd have made an example of him for guys like you to learn from.

He broke the law and was prosecuted. Justice was served. You did something you should not have done. Justice was not served in your case. I believe you should turn yourself in.
