ok this may sound like its a joke, but its not...how do you get a full grown man calmed down when he's been drinking and pooping pills? so far i swear he's drinken 3 liters of waters and 2 pots of coffee, now what..?? He has problems that we just discovered and are trying to get him sober to get some help!

Alright, lets get one thing clear, "Pooping" was obviously a typo, stop commenting on it. Coffe does nothing to help you sober up, and neither does water. If you know what the Pills were, call a hospital and ask for their advice. chances are, this fella will need his stomach pumped. In regards to calming him down, talking calmly and patiently to him is likely the best method. Try NOT to bring up the problems, but if he brings them up, be sympathetic, but not patronizing. if his problems are about a woman, do NOT insult her, he may still have feelings for her, and this will agitate him more.

After all that water and coffee, maybe you should help him find a bathroom. Without medical intervention, Time is the only thing to sober him up with.

If he's been popping pills, depends on the pills of course, he won't calm down. He'll be up all night.
Put some techno music on and get him to dance it off!!!!!!!!!!!!
Coffee is a bad idea because it's a stimulant! It will NOT help to calm him down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you give him any more water he could suffer from kidney failure!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leave him to just calm down on his own!

Seriously, who knows how long and what the pills are doing to him. Time for a visit to the ER.

check into a rehabe centwer but to get him calmed down for the moment kick him in the balls and tie him up

what kind of problems ? Can you stick him in a cold shower?
If you think that will be too much of a shock to his system I would call the emergency room and ask them.

You can't help someone if they don't want the help. You can talk til your blue in the face, but unless he realizes he has a problem, your wasting your breath. Harsh I know, but true.
