Send an invite from your existing gmail account to another email id of yours. Once you receive the new invitation, accept it and create your new gmail account.

You need a cell phone that can receive SMS, or a friend that can receive the message for you.
Go to https://www.google.com/accounts/SmsMailSignup1 to sign up, which will send a code to your cell phone.
Then go to https://www.google.com/accounts/SmsMailSignup2 to authenticate the account. That's it, you are done.
