Every year, between 1-2% of women using the birth control pill CORRECTLY become pregnant. The numbers are similar for condom users. Look back at your health history- is it normal for you to miss periods in stressful situations? Even if it is, you're in college. You're supposed to have critical thinking skills. The 100% best thing to do is to buy a home pregnancy test and get informed immediately.

It may be that the stress of a new phase in your life (college) has delayed your period. To be on the safe side, do a home pregnancy test and try not to worry.
To the personal fitness trainer: You cannot say absolutely that the cause is stress. Although there is a high likelihood, you don't know this for a fact.

My Darling, If you have been a good girl you should have no worriers about your period. If you had sex and just do not feel right you could be pregnant and you should see a Doctor ASAP. Many times stress can delay a period. New surroundings, other women. Not having a period is not unusual always having your period at the same time is unusual. RELAX Michelle

Starting college is a big thing in ones life and the experience could just have delayed the start of your period. A test would be the only solution to the pregnancy thing.

You may be just stressed. Wait until you're 10 days late, then buy an over the counter pregnancy test. I know some community colleges test for cheap or free at their health services office. It's confidential. Good luck!

Your period cessation (amenorrhea) is caused by hormonal changes. Some hormonal changes can be caused by losing/gaining too much body fat , stress and pregnancy. Remember, all "man-made" items can be defective, including condoms, pills and other birth control methods. There is 2-15% error rate on these methods, which most is cause by improper usage. The method that is 100 % is abstinence. You should go see an MD.

It's unlikely stress related. A week late is normal under stressful situations. If you don't get your period in a week or so, take a pregnancy test.

STRESS can make your period late or early- get a pee test at the drug store to be sure though. Rubbers slip off and boys sometimes(or all the time) pretend it didn't. Hang in there!

If you have been under a lot of stress, that can do it....medications, drinking a lot (LOL) and you know, condoms aren't 100% effective. You can still get pregnant when using them.
Get a test and then you'll know.
