I assume that TAKS is a standardized test. If you have a very low GPA but high test scores on state tests or SAT/ACT tests, my understanding is that if you want to go to college you will need to start out at a community college and work your way up to a four-year college or university. Most universities will not accept applicants with a GPA below a certain level (somewhere around 2.0), even if your test scores are really good.

Having a low GPA with high test scores indicates that you are smart but didn't do very much work in school (unless there are some other extreme circumstances). If you really had a GPA of 0.0 it would mean that you never passed a class, which would mean you wouldn't be able to graduate from high school (although I'm not certain about that, if you passed the TAKS test which is likely a graduation requirement, so you would want to talk to a school counselor about that).

You can still usually go to community college as long as you are over age 18, even if you don't have a high school diploma or GED, although it is MUCH better if you can graduate from high school or get a GED right away. It just gets you off to a better start going into college, assuming that's what you want to do.

I hope this is helpful to you. Good luck! Getting a good education is very important.

It means that you didn't apply yourself properly to your schoolwork and your chances of future success are severely diminished until you either get a GED or a high school diploma with a decent GPA. You are on a path direct to Loserville. I would recommend rectifying the situation as quickly as possible.
