My little niece just turned one and she is also VERY active, we bought her a pink car from Step Two and it has a long handle attached(but can be taken off)for mom and dad to easily push her around. She absolutely loves this toy!!! In fact, she now prefers it to her stroller. The car retails for $39.99 and can be purchased at either the Step two website or from Toys R us. Step Two makes quality product that almost never break and last through many children!!

When my oldest son turned 1 he got an Alphabet Pal.. he is almost 2 and it's survived his abuse, plus he still loves it and it was reasonably priced (I suggest adding a few extra sets of batteries)
