need help with my cd burner?

ok i have a win 98 comp and a utmost technology 52x24x52 external usb cd-r+rw drive cd burner im not sure if it will burn dvd's i got it a bestbuy it think it wont work when i put it to my compcan you give me step by step instructions and try to include a tech support or someting or that type thank plaz help

A cd burner will not burn dvds, you need a dvd burner.

Your cd burner wont burn dvds because it can only burn cds. You will need a DVD+-R/RW in order to burn cds and dvds.
