i have two jobs offers,1 in England as Reception Manager of a 4 star hotel and the other one is in Grand Cayman as Reservations Supervisor in a five star international chain hotel/resort.
in terms of salary, gross salary - the job offer in Grand Cayman is higher, tax free but high cost of living. so i think that in terms of net salary, the one in England is higher.
The job in England offers live-in accommdation at GBP £35 per week, the one in Grand Cayman, I have to pay my own and base on my research miniumum KYD $1,000 per month.
Note also that I am not a resident or citizen to both countries but my employers are willing to secure a work permit for me. My employer in Grand Cayman sent me an e-mail today that my they have manage to get my work permit already. The one in England was only applied 3 days ago and I was told that it would take 10 to 14 working days to process.
I need one months notice from current employer to resign.
I need some sound advise please!

i came from a country in which its citizens needs a work permit/visa if they go to live and work in another country.
Immigration policy in the UK would allow me to qualify to become a resident if I live and work for 5 years. In Grand Cayman, the maximum lenght of time I can work there is only 7 years.
I am currently working in Guernsey, Channel Islands.
Grand Cayman offers high salary, beautiful weather, opportunity to work in other sister hotels as it is an international chain hotel.
England offers better position, lower cost of living, and opportunity not to worry about visa and work permit in the future if I become a resident.

You have to go where you will be the happiest. Financially wise, it sounds like England tops your list. But, you seem to really want to go to the Grand Caymans. Where will you be happiest? You will have more money in England to do things in your off time. You will have less money in Grand Cayman, but will have a paradise surrounding you. In England, there is much history to see. The Grand Caymans are just pretty to look at. You need to decide for the long run. Will you get sick of the Grand Caymans after a while? Will you run out of things to do while in England/Europe!? If it were me, I would GO TO ENGLAND!!

grand cayman is not what it is cracked up to be five star hotels were only invented because they are always built when the area around is crap and they have to provide all the facilities for guests to come to stay. i worked away for many years and regretted the long hours and boring times i had. yes there was lots of drinking, parties and sex, but it became really boring quickly if your the type of person who wants to have a good career, find a wife and have children stay in ENGLAND. now i am higher up the chain i thrown at potential staff who have come back to England expecting to be well paid and sadly it does not happen unless you have been working in the right places.

if you dont go to the Grand Cayman you will regret it,never mind about only paying £35 live in accomodation its only a no frills room in a block for staff, and i dont think there is any where more expensive to live than England,if i was you i would go for the Grand Cayman, the weather is better and the scenery, and you probabley make about the same,to me there is only one choice m8 go for the grand cayman

Sounds like you've made your decision already.
England it is.
No one can give you additional advice, when your primary concern is financial and the elements of your decision is defined in your statement.
If you were concerned about weather, living conditions, people, cultures, night life, relationships or recreation then we might be able to give you a gazillion reasons for one or the other.
Good Luck.

Where would you like to live?
Ask yourself that question. If it all revolves around the money then simply choose the one you would be better off financially in.
Good luck!!!!!!!!
