You probably have some sort of a virus/trojan that's changing your browser settings everytime you attempt to surf the web. I'd recommend a virus/spyware scan to get rid of this.

Well, first you have to figure out what is attempting to switch your default search. You may have spyware on your computer, so get a spyware scanner and check that first. You may also have two different toolbars, ie. Yahoo and Google, that are trying to "compete" for default, so you may need to unstall one. I hope this helps.

Go to "Tools" at the top and choose "Internet options." See if there isn't anything there that jumps out at you to change. Also, do you have a google toolbar at the top of your internet window? If you do, uninstall that by doing to "Start" "Control Panel" "Add/Remove Program" "Remove toolbar." This might fix the problem. Good luck!

Well first off sounds like your using google tool bar. It also sounds like you have some other background program that is trying to switch it. Scna your system for spy ware. It may be SW trying to switch it to another page. Adaware or Spybot would be a good free option for you. Go to download.com to get them.
