Heya guys...I was wondering if anyone had some decent advice, or suggestions on what to do in this situation.

I own a Chrysler 300M, which is now on it's third heart transplant (getting a new engine). I purchased the auto from my parents at the cost of the maintenance of a blown engine. After it was replaced, within a month each, the car was back in the shop for another engine because there were problems with each of them put in.

When the car gets back to me this time, I want to get rid of it...it's too much of a hassle. Luckily, each problem the engine was under warranty, so I didn't have to put out any extra money.

How can I rid myself of this car? I feel like it would be wrong to privately sell this pos., but the value of it (if it's functioning), is about 8k. Now I live in the city so I don't technically need a car, but I'd hate to lose the trade-in value to a dealership I suppose....any suggestions?

I would definately trade it in at a Chrysler dealer. Let them get hung with the lemon rather than some poor sucker who just needs a used car.

You could take it to an auto auction in your area. The auctioneers sell all vehicles AS IS. They get a percentage of the sales price as a commission.
People who buy cars at auctions know they are buying as is. In your case, it won't make much difference. With CarFax people can do a search and find out that the engine has been replaced.

I think as long as you are honest to the person buying, feel free to sell it. You won't get much at the dealer and he'll just pawn it off on some sucker without telling him. So I know it might cost you some cash to be honest, but it sounds like you didn't pay much for the car anyway, so you would still make a profit. BE HONEST!!
