Pressure is force per unit area, like lbs per sqaure inch.

Pressure is actually force applied on an area.Pressure will increase if you reduce the area for the same force.
Or if you increase applied force on the same area, pressure will increase.
We need to sharpen the knife for easy cutting and wear a big slipper while walking on mud.

Not quite. Pressure is force divided by area.

force is 'total force' while pressure is force per unit area
